Bonbeach
The seaside suburb of Bonbeach runs along the coast to the Patterson River which snakes out to the sea. Bonbeach boasts one of Melbourne’s most beautiful beaches and locals are often clustered out on the water in their boats. Bonbeach is bookended by seaside suburbs Carrum and Chelsea.
In Bonbeach, many homes literally sit on the beachfront and enjoy unobscured views. The homes in the small cul-de-sacs leading from Nepean Highway to the beach are also rare and this incredible residential beach access is one of Bonbeach’s unique features, shared by only a select group of suburbs in all of Melbourne.
Bonbeach is close to Frankston shopping centre, Harbour Plaza and Chelsea Beach Arcade, however there are a selection of great local cafe’s and restaurants throughout Bonbeach, including The Little French Deli and Kitchen which is close to the Bonbeach train station and a local favourite.
Bonbeach is steeped in history with the life saving club established in 1932 and the neighbouring Chelsea Yacht club established in 1938. Bonbeach Primary school is one of the best schools in the area and Patterson River Secondary College is a short journey away. Bonbeach recreational facilities include the Patterson River Country Club and the Patterson River Golf Club. Nearby Edithvale is home to the Chelsea Little Athletics Club, and the Chelsea Dolphins Baseball Club.
Bonbeach is 31 km from the CBD and it’s part of the City of Kingston. The postcode for Bonbeach is 3196.
